Thursday night was one for the ages, an emotional roallercoaster of a game that included four lead changes, an umpire player dispute, and an altercation between a Kelley Green's player and a fan. The weather was nasty and it translated into a rather sloppy game on both sides of the field. Pat O'Leary was on fire, logging five strikeouts. The Kelley Green sox scored seven runs in the bottom of the first inning courtesy of a Colin Carpenter grand slam. The Knights put up a seven spot of their own in the top of the second with some help from some sloppy defense by the sox and a three-run homerun by Andreas, the Spanish-Masher. In the 4th the Knights got on the board again scoring two runs to take the lead. Emotions ran wild on the Kelley Greens bench in the bottom of the fifth as a fan sparked a Kelley Green's player to threaten them with a bat. The Kelley Green Sox found a way to regroup and scored runs in each of the next three innings, capped by a 310-foot homerun by John Lacorte.
