May 7, 2007
For all intensive purposes, the Grapefruit League of Nahant Softball featured NFL and the Kelley Green Sox. The spring series in my opinion was split two games to two. Both the Green Sox and NFL improved mightily, and both teams look to make some serious noise in the 2007 season. John Lacorte of the Green Sox took home the Grapefruit League MVP, also garnishing votes were Nick Papagelis and Pat O'leary, who ironically have parents who go out. As for other Spring Leagues, Stevens Construction participated in a half-hour hit around and there are rumors that both Brickyard and The Barbarians have also held team practices. Coming into the 07' Season it looks like Galaxy will start out as the favorite to win the league with all six other teams looking for their first championship(other than Knights who won various titles over the years).
