Noah's Arc

July 9, 2007

The Knights took down the Brickyard, giving the Knights a much needed statement win and giving the Yard their first loss in seven games. The Knights hit the crap out of the ball and scored in nearly every inning. Andrew Wadden had another great game at the plate, notching another inside the park round-tripper. The Brickyard's normally potent lineup was held at bay by the million dollar arm of southpaw Mikey Kelleher, who remains unbeaten. Tony Ragusa didn't have his normally electric stuff, and the Knights took it to him, finding gaps all night long. In the top of the fifth a lazy fly squirted out towards center field. Noah Musman, in his first game back from injury, and Andreas the Spaniard gave chase. Noah dove for the ball and bounced off the turf into a forward triple front flip. After a few minutes of lying on the grass, Noah was picked up and thrown in the trunk of a green BMW and never seen again. The defense for the Knights locked down and their gold glove-caliber left side did work son. The Knights now look like a contender, after beating the number one seed, and the Bickyard looks to regroup and get hot again before the playoffs.
Also of Note: The Knights team celebrated at the Tides Restaraunt after this monumental win. 15 Mai Tais were consumed, Andreas the Spaniard ducked out on the bill and was cut from the team (and possibly signed by the Greensox), and the Tides restaraunt is still looking for 10 missing pint glasses that vanished shortlty after the Knights team left the restaraunt.
