Galaxy 10 - Knights 9 (Through six-rain)
This game was a fierce battle to say the least, a rejuvanated, reborn Knights team, with their new fire-baller Mikey Kelleher, played a tough match against the defending champions, Galaxy. Played with the good ole' non-restricted flight balls, this matchup lacked the pop that was expected from a sell-out crowd and featured no taters. Galaxy came out on top early with some big hits by the Howards, who are catching fire as of late. The Knights then hopped out to a two run lead, on a seven run fourth, where most of there runs came with two outs. The Kights were kept in the game by some great plays out in right, an area where Galaxy can kill you, by Mike "Lumbah-Jack" Morrison. The dark, anvil shaped, cumulo-nimbus clouds started to roll in just as Galaxy got up in the bottom of the sixth inning, down two. Kelleher did all he could to cling to the lead. Galaxy tied the game, and with two out Christian Howard stepped into the box, with his sibling on second. Stepping out and around the plate, he roped a single to right, and Galaxy took the lead. After getting the third out of the sixth, the sky opened up, delaying the seventh inning. Unfortunetely most of the players on either side left and the game ended 10-9, with one inning to play. The inning will be made up immidietly before the next time these two clubs meet.
Also of Note: In the bottom of the sixth, with one out, in what was a one run game, with the Knights on top, a can-of-corn pop fly drifted toward the Knight's bench. A deranged fan (Hambone) then leaped up, beer in hand, and swatted the ball away before Jimmy-Boy Cronin could make the play. He is possibly facing a season long suspension from the ballpark.
And:
ANDRES UZEATEGUI of the Knights Grandfather was the first Venezuelan to participate in the Olympic Games. He is also in the MVP race...>..>..>..>..>..>..>..>
